New affordable homes for Breedon
The 18 homes, which will all be for social rent, are being built by Bowsall Developments for emh.
Leicestershire Rural Housing Association will manage the homes on behalf of emh.
Low-carbon affordable homes
The homes will have air source heat pumps, which are are eco-friendly, reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and provide lower cost heating, compared to traditional electric heating systems found in many off-gas rural homes.
They will also have PV solar panels - this will further help to keep energy bills low for residents.
About the homes
There will be 18 new affordable homes built in Breedon
All for social rent:
- 12x 2-bed houses
- 6x 2-bed bungalows
Construction on the homes started in March 2026 and they are due to be ready in February 2027.
How to apply
When the homes are built they'll be advertised, and available to bid for on the North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC) choice based letting system, Housing Jigsaw.
