If you owe us rent

If you miss rent payment, we will always take an early intervention approach to ensure, where possible, that any debt is dealt with as quickly as possible. This may include working with you to agree on a manageable repayment plan based on your income.

If you're experiencing financial difficulties, please contact us – our team is here to offer support and guidance. We will explore all options available to help you stay in your home. However, if you don't pay or follow repayment agreements, we may need to take further action.

Legal action

We’ll do everything we can to avoid legal action but if payments are missed, we may need to take steps to recover the debt, including serving you a Notice of Seeking Possession.

If we have to take you to court, you may face eviction and additional costs. Your chances of being rehoused in future will be greatly affected if you leave your home owing rent, court costs or recharged repairs.
